I’m actually modeling off one pic, so i’ll have to find another pic of the back somewhere. I’ve just been sort of making things up if i can’t see them. We’ll see how it goes. zomg crits plz!

Crash and Burn
shame on you if you thought of the movie Hackers when reading that and 1000 internets if you thought of Robot Jocks. I decided to model a “Mad Cat” from the acclaimed big-friggin robot series Mech Warrior. Click “Read More” to see pics of what I got so far and a more detailed blog. Read more
1 commentWorks in Progress for Flatwork Book
Tom here! My flatwork for my website is in need of an update!
The above thumbnail is from an assignment I had to turn in today. There’s still much left to do in it, but it’s plenty presentable for class purposes. I still need to touch up the lighting and textures, and add Tansen into it (I have a rough of her slumped over the trunk…
Update!
I have forsaken even my subsequent plans of making my site all in html and have made it all in flash. It’s accomplishes the ends of which I intended so I am happy with it. I also found out how to use that external text thingamajig, so you can update the text of the swf from an external text source. So go to the site.

No commentsHooray for simplicity
I will have my site up very soon it looks like. The sooner I get interwebs back at my apartment the faster it will be up. Yes, i know it is made of grunge and brown, but I like it, so you should to.
here’s a link to how it’s gonna look
No css. No crazy friggin bells and whistles. Also, I know I have to change the background to be an actual background instead of just being part of the collection of jpegs.
I also wanted to let everyone know that I finished my demo reel and can be found here
See ya in the unemployment lines!

A few things I’ve created on downtime at work:

I love that font. I wish it were more readable though.

Trying to come up with a logo for EatMoreFruit Apparel. Love love love that font.

The mock up of Terry’s portfolio site….I might just make it in Flash.

2 commentsCreativity? What Creativity?
I don’t know how people can manage two jobs at once. When I come home, I want to chill out, talk on the phone and go to sleep. Perhaps even eat. So, my drawings/knitting/sculpting/painting/general whackiness/etc have taken a huge hit, leaving the commute to work and the weekends to really get anything done. It’s weird though, the less I draw, the better the drawings have been coming out. I don’t plan to make a habit of not sketching, but when I sit down to draw, I’ve been pleased with the results lately.
I was lucky to get this sketch out the other week and to vector it today.

It will be painted onto the back of my grey hoodie. Possibly tonight. And possibly will be available as an apparel design in the Hammer Store or my store.
Stories of Saranette Project: Jessan Redesign Pose Set
Tom here I ment to post this back on Friday…
A couple years back, I made a first set for a character design class. I liked it for a while, but I have some issues with her design: much too anime. So I did a new one…

Super Girly!
Yay for foofiness! This played between spots on the demo reel in all the rooms at the Bond Valentine’s Party, and was projected through the plexiglass in the hallway. I created the bird tattoo in Illustrator and airbrushed it in Photoshop. The awesome swirly background is from Design Fruit.
